The first American settlers set out to investigate the vast territory occupied by the present United States of America, although its distribution was not like at the present. When the great country was formed, new territories were discovered by the expeditions. A very famous expedition was the Lewis and Clark expedition between 1804 and 1806, led by William Clark and Meriwether Lewis, who traveled overland from northern North America, reaching the Pacific Ocean, and then returned to show their findings. The first Native Americans were the ones who originally occupied the territory, indigenous nations were engaged in fishing, hunting or farming. They were those who knew the land to perfection, and many of them served as guides for the first expeditions. The adventurous spirit of man guiding settlers to discover new territories and find out what lies beyond the horizon. Who are these so funky presidents? For them that are represented in Mount Rushmore National Memorial, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln. These four presidents appear dancing in the same order they appear on Mount Rushmore, but with a background of a waving American flag representing freedom. American presidents dance a kind of can-can all at once. Certainly a very patriotic screensaver for the most nostalgic of former presidents that marked American history.
